The facility is staffed with a 24x7 technical support and video camera surveillance- all designed to bring a greater sense of ease and security to all our clients.
The fire suppression system is a multi-zoned, dry pipe, pre-action fire suppression system. It is activated via under-floor and overhead smoke detectors. When two or more zones have been activated, the pipes fill with water. Two or more of the sprinkler head caps must then be melted prior to water discursion. Once caps have been melted, water will only be sprayed in the impacted areas. The system is monitored 24x7 by onsite personnel.
Access to the IDC is controlled around-the-clock by security personnel. Entry to the underground floors where Slice Networks' IDC is located can only occur through secure gates for which security personnel require a pass and visitors have to be signed in and escorted by authorized personnel. Alchemy also has personnel onsite 24x7 monitoring the facility through security cameras located throughout the IDC.
Slice Networks' clients are assured that their mission-critical operations will not be affected by California's well-publicized rolling blackouts. Building power is drawn from two substations, one of which is on a preferred service grid. This preferred service grid of the Los Angeles DWP only provides service to one other building. A second power grid provides the facility with redundancy.
